About Us

We have recently changed our brand to Inspirational Workplaces to reflect what we do everyday with our clients. We were formerly HCA Consulting Group, which was founded in 1987 by Organisational Psychologist Helen Crossing. Central to our philosophy is the recognition that everything we do is helping our clients to create inspirational workplaces.

We are Organisational Psychologists and Consultants with offices in Sydney and Melbourne. We also work regularly in Perth for our clients there and occasionally in Adelaide and Brisbane. Since 1982 we have provided business psychology and consulting services across a number of industries to organisations both large and small. We have been working with several of our clients for 10+ years and with one major Australian company for more than 20 years!

Our larger clients are blue-chip national and multinational companies from the Finance, Insurance, Business Services, Manufacturing, Construction, Pharmaceutical, and Government sectors. We have substantial exposure to the array of issues facing organisations that compete on a national or global basis. We have worked with these clients internationally across the Asia-Pacific region including China, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and New Zealand. We have also conducted assignments for clients in the UK and in Greece.

Our smaller clients range in size from 3 - 500 people and include, amongst others, Financial Planners, Creative / Design companies, Investment / Venture Capital businesses, and Engineering & medium-sized Manufacturers. We understand the people issues in small to medium organisations and we offer flexible and cost-effective solutions.

Our philosophy and methods are based on theory and practice from psychology, sociology, and management theory. A hallmark of our approach is that we work closely with your board and/or executives; we listen and build an understanding the historical, cultural, and people issues within your organisation. Then we draw on industry best practice as well as innovate and tailor our approach accordingly. We ask questions and work alongside your people to ensure our relationship with you achieves lasting and helpful results.
